    Advertising & Affiliates

    Last updated: 26 August 2025

    Our Promise

BeastBeauty puts readers first. Advertising and affiliate partnerships help fund our work, but they never decide what we write, what we recommend, or how we rate products. Editorial and revenue teams operate separately. Read our standards: https://www.beastbeauty.co.uk/editorial-policy/

    How BeastBeauty Makes Money

We earn revenue in three main ways:

    1. Affiliate Links
When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you. These links do not influence our selections or verdicts.
    2. Sponsored Content / Paid Partnerships
Occasionally, a brand may sponsor a clearly marked article, video, or social post. Sponsored pieces are always labelled and kept distinct from independent editorial.
    3. Display Advertising
Banner and in-page ads may appear throughout the site. Placement is designed not to disrupt reading.

    Affiliate Links: What to Expect

    • Disclosure: On pages containing affiliate links, we include a clear note near the top and/or adjacent to the link.
    • Price & Availability: Prices change; we do our best to keep them current, but retailers may update stock or pricing without notice.
    • Independence: We do not give products a “free pass” because of affiliate relationships. If something underperforms, we say so.

    How we label
    You may see lines like:

    • “We may earn a commission from links on this page.”
    • “Link marked ‘(affiliate)’ helps support our work.”

    Link attributes
Where appropriate, we use rel="sponsored" and/or rel="nofollow" on outbound monetised links to meet search and advertising best practices.

    Sponsored Content & Paid Partnerships

When content is paid for by a brand (money, services, or significant value in kind), we label it “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or “Advertorial.” Sponsored pieces:

    • Are clearly marked at the top and within the byline or header area.
    • Do not promise positive coverage.
    • Are created with reader usefulness in mind; claims must be supportable and fair.
    • Do not influence our independent product reviews or news coverage elsewhere on the site.

    Display Ads: Experience & Standards

    • No auto-play audio.
    • We limit intrusive formats and keep ads away from critical UI (menus, close buttons).
    • Ads must comply with the CAP Code (ASA) and be legal, honest, decent, and truthful.
Learn more about the UK advertising rules here: https://www.asa.org.uk/codes-and-rulings/advertising-codes.html

    Gifting, PR Samples & Loans

    • We accept press samples for consideration only. Acceptance does not guarantee coverage or a positive review.
    • If a sample is kept for long-term testing, we disclose that where relevant.
    • Loan units are returned after testing unless otherwise agreed.
    • Embargoes are honoured when clearly communicated and reasonable.

    Reviews, Rankings & “Best” Lists

    • Picks are based on performance, value, inclusivity (shade ranges, textures), availability, and user experience—not on whether a brand advertises with us.
    • We revise lists when formulas change, better products emerge, or reader feedback shifts our view.

    We Don’t Sell “Dofollow” Links

We do not sell links for search ranking, and we don’t accept money for unlabelled placements. Any paid or incentivised outbound links are appropriately tagged (e.g., rel="sponsored"). If you’re offered paid links “on our behalf,” it’s a scam—please report it: https://www.beastbeauty.co.uk/contact/

    Disclosures You’ll See

We place disclosures where they’re most useful to readers, typically in these spots:

    • At the top of an article containing affiliate links.
    • Inline, next to monetised product links or cards.
    • In the byline/header area for sponsored content.
    • In video descriptions and social captions for sponsored or affiliate posts.

We also follow applicable guidance from the FTC (United States) and ASA/CAP (United Kingdom):
